To be modern is to have fallen out of Story.
— Michael Meade

there is a story trying to be told through each of us.

IT’s an old idea, But still relevant today…

Ancient peoples believed that we are all born with a ‘soul twin’ that knows our destiny. It was thought that this ‘inner other’ would use hunches, dreams, and synchronicities in life to guide us towards the ways in which we are meant to use the gifts we’ve been given. Today, we might calling it ‘finding our life’s purpose,’ but whatever name we give it, connecting with a personal sense of destiny is key to leading a life of fulfillment, as well as having genuine relationships with others and contributing to society and the larger world.

Connecting Through Story and Sound…

When we are going through times of transition, loss, growth, and/or healing, storytelling provides a way forward and serves as a source of wisdom and guidance. Stories evoke images and affect — the language of the subconscious mind — and through stories, we can establish a two-way stream of communication with the deeper self.

Music also evokes image and affect, so it is no wonder it is often referred to as ‘the language of the soul.’ As vibration, music also has a profound affect on the cells of the body and the nervous system — calming stress, easing pain, and improving overall energy and mood.

WORKING TOGETHER…

Through story and music, I work with you to establish practices associated with living in sync with your deeper self. During our sessions, you learn how to watch for and better understand the messages your psyche is sending you, as well as how to work together with your deeper mind to actualize your truest aspirations.

Each session begins with conversation before providing a chance for you to relax while I improvise music inspired by the stories and desired outcomes we’ve discussed during the session. This offers the psyche a chance to internalize the work you are doing before going on with the rest of your day, and sometimes it gives rise to even greater insights.

After each session, you receive a recording of the music I improvised that day. Sessions are conducted online or out of my home in the Greater Pittsburgh area. I am currently using a ‘pay-what-you-will’ fee model, now through the end of 2022.
